DJCS School Volunteer Opportunities for 2011 / 2012

We need you! All of our events and fundraising happen because of dedicated parents like yourselves. Please call the DJCS hotline at 416.924.6212 x112 if you are able to fill one of these important positions.

Volunteer coordinator

Volunteers required to recruit & manage list of volunteers, including parents who have volunteered “as required” so that various volunteer needs are covered.  Works in coordination with other committees, as volunteer needs arise.

Marketing & recruitment committee

We are always looking for volunteers to work in connection with other committees to encourage recruitment, fundraising, and to publicize events.

Holiday celebrations committee

Annually, we require volunteers to help staff the DJCS Purim carnival booths & provides food & set up for seder plates for class Pesach model seders. Volunteers may also be called upon to help with other holiday celebrations, such as Chanukah parties or Israel Fairs.

Fundraising & fund-raising events

Our fundraisers help organize our Annual Campaign and/or other aspects of school fundraising or “fun”raising events that have a fundraising component, such as Fundraising Art exhibits, Chanukah candle, book or food sales, film showings, class photos, raffles, auctions.

Treasurer

Our devoted treasurer of 15 + years plans to retire at the end of this school year.  If you have a background in business, finance or accounting, we need your help to learn the ropes this year so you can take over next year.
