Hebrew Language Program Options
Beginning in Grade 2, Hebrew language instruction is as an option in addition to the Jewish Studies program. While it is recommended that students register for Hebrew in Grade 2, the option of beginning in Grade 3 is available.

Students may take one or two Hebrew Language classes per week as follows:
    1. ALEF stream – twice per week on Sunday and Wednesday
    2. BET stream – once per week on Sunday only

Typically it is not suitable for children beyond Grade 3 to begin Hebrew language classes without prior education in this area.

Included Hebrew Resource Material Fees*

  • Hebrew resource materials fees are INCLUDED in all HEBREW registration (both Alef & Bet).
  • Hebrew BET students, who meet Sundays only (1 hr/week), also receive an interactive CD specific to their Hebrew level to use at home, included with tuition.  [Usually:  Hebrew 1-2 Bet = Shalom Uvracha; Hebrew 3 Bet = Hineni 1; Hebrew 4 Bet = Hineni 2; Hebrew 5-6 Bet = Hineni 3]
  • If you already own the CD specific to the Hebrew class your child is entering, you may opt out of its purchase & save $25 on tuition when you register (see Form 3).  No refunds once registration is complete & CDs are ordered.
